Through a precise strategy, we were able to harmonize the logo, web design, icon design, and campaign content to create a clear and coherent brand identity. Our approach focused on the harmonious integration of the various design components, which were seamlessly implemented across all communication channels.

AKN Eisenbahn—one of Germany’s oldest private railway companies—has been connecting people, cities, and landscapes in the north since 1883. With its focus on regional mobility and reliability, it reflects the spirit of the North German metropolitan region. But what happens when a traditional brand reinvents itself to meet the demands of modern mobility while preserving its history? This is precisely the challenge we took on.
Our goal was not only to modernize AKN Eisenbahn’s new corporate design but to shape it as a bridge between the past and the future. We used the existing logo and color palette as a foundation to develop a harmonious and contemporary brand identity that makes a compelling impression in both digital and physical communication channels.
AKN Eisenbahn’s new timetables stand out with their fresh, modern design. With clean lines, bold colors, and an appealing layout, the brand’s dynamism is perfectly captured. The eye-catching designs ensure a strong visual presence and reflect AKN’s modern direction, which is both functional and appealing.
The icon grid brings structure and clarity to the AKN Railway’s design. The precise arrangement of icons in a uniform grid makes the user interface more intuitive and visually appealing.
This arrangement emphasizes the modern and functional aesthetic, highlighting the practical utility of the icons while simultaneously strengthening the brand’s visual identity.
“Passenger first” – Clear, direct, approachable. The typographic design ensures immediate readability and emphasizes AKN’s values: reliability and closeness to the passenger.
“Follow the Call of the Locomotive!” – A campaign that deliberately makes access to key information simple and inviting to reach a broad target audience. The clear design ensures that the message is understood quickly and easily—by both potential new train drivers and the general public.
Numerous positive responses and a noticeable increase in applications confirm the campaign’s success.
