Together with the Jugend Forscht team, we are currently developing a new, illustrative brand—open, experimental, and grounded in direct collaboration.
This isn’t a traditional relaunch but a work in progress that takes shape as we go. Here, design doesn’t originate on the drawing board; it originates in the flow.


Details

In close collaboration, we are developing new print materials, including flyers, brochures, and informational materials. The style evolves iteratively: ideas are sketched, tested, refined, and implemented immediately.

Illustration is not an add-on here, but a central design element of the emerging branding. Step by step, a new visual identity is taking shape, reimagining Jugend forscht in a contemporary way. Shown here is a curated selection of the strongest scenes from the ongoing process.

The collaboration with Jugend forscht is deliberately structured as an open design process. Our role in this: to further develop the existing visual identity through design research in a work-in-progress format and to gently rejuvenate it—without losing the brand’s identity.

Together, we test new illustrative approaches, review existing design codes, and refine the visual character through ongoing dialogue. Decisions are not made in isolation, but through dialogue—close to the content, the team, and the application. Design thus becomes a tool of research: experimenting, evaluating, thinking ahead.

The focus is on an illustrative approach that makes knowledge accessible and sparks curiosity. Colors, shapes, and figures evolve organically and are directly translated into real print media. The result is not a finished rebranding, but a growing visual system—flexible, contemporary, and open to further development.

Illustration as an attitude: playful, clear, close to the topics, and always in dialogue with the content.

Branding here is not an end product—but a living process.
