Bavaria Filmstadt is the place to be if you’ve got studio vibes, classic films, and popcorn in your blood. For the shop, we developed the “Popcorn Club”—a dedicated collection featuring custom lettering, illustrations, and sub-messages that feels like an exclusive fan club for everyone who still celebrates the end credits.

For Bavaria Filmstadt, we didn’t just “design” the Popcorn Club—we fired up the merch machine: from the initial idea through strategy, brand design, and campaign approach, all the way to concrete product lines. Our part: merchandise concept, look & feel, tagline logic, and a visual thread that ties everything together.
This resulted in custom lettering, illustrations, and statements that land on caps, shirts, and bags as if they were made for them—
clearly Bavaria, but with its own club vibe. In short: a small brand within the brand, packed with a design system, text modules, and enough ammunition for the next rounds of campaigns.

To this end, we built a design system that integrates custom lettering, illustrative motifs, and pointed sub-messages. Sometimes cinematic, sometimes tongue-in-cheek—but always clearly recognizable as Popcorn Club. The items work individually as statement pieces and together as a cohesive collection on the store shelf. This turns merchandise into another layer of Bavaria Filmstadt’s story—to wear, take home, and give as gifts.
The designs are deliberately kept simple: clean typography, subtle nods, plenty of attitude—no fuss, just good stuff. At the same time, we didn’t just print anything during production; instead, we specifically focused on high-quality products with clear origins and a transparent supply chain.
Together with our local partner, we oversaw the entire process—from the first sketch to the finished cap on the shelf. Fewer items, but ones you’ll truly love and wear for a long time.
From saddle covers to your favorite shirt, the Popcorn Club has it all—plus mugs, caps, and more for your desk, the sofa, and your next binge-watching session. The product range is intentionally broad so that the Club isn’t just confined to the shop, but becomes part of visitors’ everyday lives.
Our Main Quest: deliberately simple design with as much cinema vibe as possible—clear in form, big on feeling.
